Instructions for preparing and submitting
abstract Scientific sessions that are scheduled during the III Latin
American Congress of Artificial Organs and Biomaterials will be an excellent
opportunity to share information and experiences. For that reason, all the
accepted papers for oral or poster presentation will appear in the CD-ROM
Proceedings that will be available during the congress.
Electronic submission:
The abstracts must be prepared following the format (template) and should cover different aspects in research and
development, production and evaluation of artificial organs and biomaterials.
General criteria for preparing the abstract:
- Documents must be in a format compatible to MSWORD version 6.0 or later
(extensions .RTF or .DOC). The template is already
availible for download.
- Save your document in a file with a name that one would be able to identify
its author. Please, be sure that your document does not contain virus by using
an anti-virus program.
- The number of page is limited to 01 (one) and should include: Objectives,
Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusions, References and Illustrations
(Figures and Tables). Since the publication will be in electronic format, all
illustrations should be either in black & white or in colour. Authors are
asked to maintain the abstracts file size bellow two (2) Megabytes.
- Abstracts which do not follow these criteria, won’t be accepted.
- Once the Abstract has been submitted, it cannot be changed.
- Do NOT submit multiple copies of the same Abstract.

Uploading the abstract
The authors must send their abstract (with the submission form) by
e-mail as attached file to address iiicolaob@fem.unicamp.br. If the authors do
not receive confirmation receipt until March 06th, 2004 or have any doubt please contacts
us in the following address: iiicolaob@fem.unicamp.br.
Abstract submission Deadline
The deadline for submitting papers is February 27th,
2004.
Uploading the paper
Documents must be in a format compatible to MSWORD version 6.0 or later
(extensions .RTF or .DOC). The template paper is availible
to download.

Paper submission Deadline
The deadline for submitting papers is March 20th,
2004.
Oral Presentation
Authors will have 15 minutes (plus 5 minutes for discussion) for oral
presentation. The nature of the simultaneous session formats makes it imperative
that all participants strictly observe the time schedule.
Audiovisual Facilities
1. Overhead projector 2. Slide projectors. 3. Data-show.
Poster presentation guidelines:
The Organising Committee would like to suggest some basic guidelines:
- One (1) poster per accepted paper
- The total space for the poster display is 1.20 m height x 0.90 m width
- Each poster must have a header containing the title of poster, authors,
affiliation and addresses
- Print the paper number on the upper right hand corner of the header
- Each section in the poster should be clearly marked with a title.
- All tables and figures should have a caption and the axis of graphs must be
clearly labelled.
- Information ant dates to display posters will be given later. Posters
sessions allow you to present your abstract in a concise way so the visual
aspect is very important. For this reason the poster has to explain itself and
has to show the ideas and conclusions without the authors presence.
